Good to see Corrie/Smethurst make the trip to Canada for the 2 15K's followed by a challenger

dLike the scheduling from the boys going to Canada (assuming that they are doing the 2 15ks then rimouski challenger)

I think it mad that those sort of events aren't on the British calendar given the amount of players that could be competitive in them now.

Indeed.

These Canadian 15Ks and Challenger look like a run that might have suited Marcus Willis.

That's true. And Maybe Tom F too. If I recall Rimouski challenger normally has quite a weak draw.

Hev withdrew from China, but is still on the entry list for Preston.....

I really hope she plays Preston, but i'm not expecting he to given this week's run.

Hev withdrew from Preston, so only Tara will make the main draw at present. Naomi might sneak in.

Of the girls with 2 scorers, Jazzamay, Georgia and Jasmine entered - go on LTA give them all wildcards

I see a certain Brit basher is entered in the men's event - Freddie Nielson. Also noticed Marcus is entered, but Lewis is not. Will Marcus withdraw?

Hoping to get to Preston for a few days - Sun, Wed, Sat, Sun??

So Naomi is first alt for Preston, but only Tara has made the main draw.

The LTA really need to look at their event schedules for next year. They cannot keep putting on 25K just for Tara, Naomi, Sam and Jade(they are not guaranteed to get in anyway) and likewise there are too many boys waiting to step up to challengers that some of the men's events should be upgraded to 15K or low level challengers.

Come on LTA get it sorted.

Not surprised - big ask to get back from warm outdoor courts half way round the world.

Yes, I am guessing that it was always a sort of contingency entry. But with Marcus still in the singles and the pair still in the doubles in Thailand...

Good news for Heather.

One amusing line in the article reads "Kokkinaxis advanced to the second round at this years Australian Open, where he pushed World No. 1 Rafael Nadal to three sets."

Reckon that's one achievement even I'd have a chance of matching, extending a best of 5 match to the 3rd set!
