From what I can remember, the courts are part of the hotel Sport, which is a nice hotel in Eilat. However it was a good 20 odd years since I was last there.
A curious draw. Matija Pecotic is underranked; his ranking is based on his having played only two tournaments last year. Hasn't played since October, though, so could be rusty. The potential FQR opponent had a series of not-terribly-exciting Futures results ... and then an odd run at a Challenger - won comprehensively over a weak WC, was being overwhelmed by Karol Beck, but Beck then retired ... and then seems to have played quite a strong match against Dominik Schulz and a decent effort against Kern. Barring that one run, one would think he would be quite a kind draw.

Had final meeting with Marcus & Lewis prior to this mornings departure .
I supplied Marcus with 3 weeks supply of fortimel protein 200ml which we have found ideal for recovery and as a energy boost prior & after matches or training .
Its going to be a new experience this year with 18 points to protect in January but the whole team is looking forward to our 2014 campaign .
Marcus' form was erratic last season as he very rarely put back to back performances together. So if he can get that consistency together and play to his ranking or better, he will climb up the rankings.

That's a fair point but now we are having regular training with coach Matt smith and our first intensive training block we should make steady progress and a climb into the 200-300 range is the goal before Wimbledon . Its still a work in progress but t think if we can continue to climb over the next few years I envisage a climb into the top 200 is possible in 2015 .
Croatian player Pecotic, who beat Miles in qualifying and plays Marcus in R1, is just out of college, where he was "the first person ever to be named Ivy League Mens Tennis Player of the Year three times" - see http://bit.ly/1ahuwZ3 and http://bit.ly/KdvHSl - although he is described as coming from Malta in the first article and born in Belgrade in the second, I'm certain it's the same player - ITF confirms he was born in Belgrade and presumably he has a Maltese parent.

I would be surprised if started playing in Malta the standard of their tennis is very poor
