Generally folk are going to be in pretty much the same boat re the ranking points changes ( generally less points for early round exits and the relative reward for winning titles now more like the ATP ).
In fact, as has been mentioned before, Naomi who was already looking good for a significant rankings rise with over half her points having been earned from October on, will now have that exagerrated by retaining for so long points earned at the previous higher level. She has a very good opportumity for a new CH before October.
As for Tara, her 2013 points were pretty evenly spread through the year ( as distinct to her more usual better second halves ) so the ranking point changes shouldn't really effect her too much.
Those who are liable to suffer a bit in the short term ( even more than usually ) are players whose current ranking points are weighted to the first half of 2013.
