ITF H2H 2-0 - George won in 3 sets in Loughborough Challenger qualifying in 2010 and 3 & 4 in the Wirral in Fabruary this year.

and Ed gets frenchman Fabrice Martin who's no novice with the racquet (currently WR 565 but with a CH of 228 last year when he was 26 years old).

A mix of draws open for George in main draw - two seeds and the rest reasonable including Q v Q

Edit - Steven:  thought the spelling of the surname of George's FQR opponent looked odd & checked.  Sure enough, it ends in "é", so have taken the liberty of amending it. wink

The (informal) french tennis tweet feed keep referring to Ed as the 'young Brit' ! and they reckon that the match up between Young Ed and Fabrice is going to be 'very interesting'.
Well, he's definitely a couple of year's younger than Fab, and from his career peak, if statistic proves right, but I doubt Corrie actually feels very young when surrounded by the other British players.

They appear to have pulled out.  First-round draw is now:

R1:   (1) Fabrice Martin & Julien Obry (FRA/FRA) CR 790 (208+482) vs (ALT) Stefan Fiacan (SUI) & Alex Jhun CR 2922 (1225+1697)
