Liam should be seeded in the main draw here and Luke Bambridge is a direct acceptance too.

FQR: (q5) Scott Clayton WR 1347 beat Sasha Merzetti (ITA) UNR by 1 & 3
FQR: (q7) Evan Hoyt WR 1427 beat (q12) Niels Lootsma (NED) WR 2077 by 3 & 4

L32: (Q) Scott Clayton WR 1348 v Peter Goldsteiner (AUT) WR 853 (CH 745 in Aug)
L32: (5) Liam Broady WR 510 v Adam Chadaj (POL) WR 1128 (CH 202 in 2005)
L32: (Q) Evan Hoyt WR 1424 v (Q) Leon Schutt (GER) WR 1624 (CH 1439 in Nov)
L32: Luke Bambridge WR 785 v (2) Louk Sorensen (IRL) WR 405 (CH 213 in 2010)

Tricky draws for the two highest-ranked Brits here as Luke continues to attract top 2 seeds like a magnet (after a few weeks' gap when he didn't ...)

Edit: main draw updated with new rankings

Louk, unfortunately for Luke, is a few miles ahead of your average 10K 2nd seed.

Pretty horrible first round draws bar Evan.

Not sure which Chadaj will turn up, he certainly has the ability to beat Liam.

Looks like no luck for Luke v Louk.

it was good that Luke managed to pick up a few points last time because he most certainly doesn't get the best luck in draws. His best hope (and I don't hope it) is that Louk's injury flares up.

Scott has a reasonable draw - Goldsteiner is higher ranked and should, on paper, win but he has lost in the first round of 8 of his last dozen tournaments and Scott seems to be on good form so why not . . .

It'll be a good match up for Liam - Chadaj has barely won a match these past nine months (lost easily to Marzi in his last one) - I think Liam will win without too much trouble.

Hope Evan can hold it together - he's had some up an down results but I like his game.

Strong start from Liam who is already *4-0 up

Luke is *2-2 with Sorenson. Luke had 0-40 on the Sorenson serve in the last game but couldn't convert.

This time Bambo saves BPs to hold serve and continues to lead at 3-2*

Meanwhile, Liam dishes out a first set bagel, losing only 7 points in the set. Vamos.
