Interesting odds on these matches (though bet365 don't seem to have set any odds for Katie's match) - they give Manisha a 75% chance of winning, Emily an 83% chance ... and Dasha a 50% chance, which (much as I'd love to see her win) looks highly optimistic taking everything else we know (recent form, Heinová's junior ranking, etc) into account.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
A lot stronger this week as Steinherr was seeded last week. Hopeful that Katie can make it 2-0. The seed in the next round is only getting to QF's and SF's in recent tournaments, so not impossible draw.
Manisha should win, but then should be up against a seed who is a very decent junior, who is climbing up the rankings very quickly.
Dasha has to play a good junior who beat Harriet Dart earlier in the year.
Em should get through round 1, but Heinova could be very tricky in rd 2.

the odds for the British girls today were also overwhelmingly in their favour. I can't remember specifically but they were far more one-sided than, on paper, they should have been (or even on the court, given that Beth's match was, not surprisingly, quite close). Maybe lots of british pounds winging their way to support out girls ?
