A semi final for Liam this week should put him in the Top 500. The other seed in Liam's quarter is Cacic who he beat last week in straight sets. No pressure Liam
Bob, just for the record, I tried to be charitable & merge your thread into this one, but didn't get the "Merge into" option until after I'd clicked on the only option that came up when I first chose to moderate & was told it had already been flagged for merging (no doubt that's as clear as mud to you!) & to choose another option, so I ended up having to deleted, as you'd suggested. Sorry!
QF (draw's so sparse both pairs received a bye!): (1) Lewis Burton & Marcus Willis CR 727 (357+370) vs Jimmy Roberts & Moos Sporken (you couldn't make it up! ) (USA/NED) UNR

Strange that they seem to be spreading the L32 matches over 3 days. There were 6 matches played today and another 5 on the OoP for tomorrow, leaving 5 others to be played on Weds. Given the recent weather problems in Greece (they lost time to rain last week) you would have thought they would push the matches through more quickly.
From a GB point of view, Oli and Lewis play tomorrow, leaving Marcus and Liam to play their first round matches on Weds.

I see from Gary that having had a bye to the QF, Lewis and Marcus have now got a W/O into the semis.
I know you don't get points from proceeding via a bye / byes ( not that you get any for a doubles QF in futures anyway ), but I take it that a bye followed by a W/O is OK for 6 points ?
Anyway, 2 matches ( at most ! ) from another title.
It's strange - when I saw him play at the Wimbly qualies (having won his place), he lost to Dustin (who was on a run) but it was 6-4 6-3 or something and a good match, plenty of good tennis. And since then, or certainly in the last few months, it's been practically freefall. Is it all the focus on doubles ? Is it chicken and egg ? i.e. he's focusing on doubles hence singles goes to pot ? Or singles goes to pot and so might asa well focus on doubles ?

I am sure the Greeks have a huge list of strengths but I do not think efficiency & organisation are at the top of it !
