Well done to Laura - that one little point will get her into the top 800 for the first time, I think.
She's done well to give these futures a go. And it becomes a victorious cycle because as she's inched up she's now seeded and so it becomes even easier. I think she's staying at least two weeks. Good luck to her in the next round (and in the doubles . . .)
Laura will probably play Fafaliou or a 16 yr old in the next round, which should be winnable, and potentially the second seed in the QF, who is quite useful.(Lucy Brown just beat her a month ago though)
I get the impression that Laura's itinerary is pretty well planned. Certainly seems to be in the right place at the right time rather better than a few of the girls.
