Jonny is in desperate need of some ranking points here. He is due to drop 850 points from Basel, Paris and WTF which would see him fall to 45 in rankings as it stands. He will probably have to reach the semis to stay top 40.

Basel is currently uncountable and when his WTF points drop off he will add 45 from Queens (also uncountable at the moment) so worst case scenario is that he drops 715 points but yes he could really do with a good run here.
With Colin out injured, the race to be GB doubles number 1 is red hot.
Colin needs Dom and Jamie to go out before the QF's, and Jonny not to win the tournament. Dom needs to reach the QF's and then just avoid losing to Jamie. Jamie needs to reach at least the QF's and go a round further than Dom. If Jonny wins the tournament he needs to reach the SF. Jonny needs to win the tournament and Dom to go out before the QF's and Jamie to go out before the SF's.
That looks about right to me! (though I reserve the right to re-check if any of it gets close to being an issue!) I added another table to that doubles race page after seeing how close they all were on today's new rankings because, like you, I think there's a chance that will be another interesting race this week - it would be fun if was decided by an all-GB QF ... especially if the winner went on to make the WTF. Well, we can dream ...

I haven't worked it out yet, but I wouldn't be surprised. Jamie, Dom and Jonny have been very close ever since Jamie became GB no. 2 after the Bangkok and Tokyo runs.

4 Brits in the top 32 in the rankings is rather impressive ! Only Spain beats this with 4 in the top 17.
Their rankings are now indeed very close. I wonder how folk would generally rank them in ability order. A difficult one I'd suggest. Though in my opinion all 4 actually would remain behind Andy.
Looking forward (always dangerous), Mr Inglot has a total of 405 points to defend between now and the end of May 2014. Mr Murray (J) has 495. Mr Fleming has 1040 (of 2750). Mr Marray has almost half his points (1210 of 2500).
Barring ill-health, injury, a run of surprisingly bad form or other unfortunate circumstances, Messrs Inglot and Murray could wind up quite highly ranked indeed.
They certainly even more show that the Dom and Jamie partnerships have in the last few months had significantly better results than Colin / Jonny.
Colin and Jonny have had some good results, but to my mind it is a partnership that has never really taken off, and maybe is just one that doesn't have a special chemistry. But of course, it was to some extent a partnership of convenience, and served a purpose
