RE: Week 41 ATP 250 Stockholm (Indoor Hard)

Neither of them are favourites, but you cannot grumble about getting Desein or Fabbiano in a Tour event. And assuming that they're fit, this week is a missed opportunity for Wardy and Evo.

RE: Week 42 ATP 250 Stockholm (Indoor Hard)

Just adding in countries, opponent CHs, etc ..

QR1: Alex Ward WR 336 v (q5) Thomas Fabbiano (ITA) WR 179 (CH 167 in Sep)
QR1: Dan Cox WR 254 v (q7) Niels Desein (BEL) WR 214 (CH 164 in 2010)

As the leaping fish says, those aren't exactly high rankings for ATP qualifying seeds, so hopefully the boys can have some fun and a least one get at least as far as the FQR to get some points.

Dan had points for the counter-breadstick but Desein holds on and Dan serves it out to 15. One set all 1-6 6-2.

Come on Dan.

Exchange of breaks early on in the decider 1-1. Dan broke in the first game but was broken back after several deuces.

Edit: No matter he breaks again and this time consolidates. 3-1

Alex breaks ! 4-2*

(NB he's already practically done better than he did in the first round of the 10k futures - as Alex said, can;t hack it in futures, go try an ATP event - makes sense !)
