With only the Bryans and Peya/Soares confirmed on points, and Paes/Stepanek confirmed because of their USO win, the race on doubles remains relatively open. Linstedt/Nestor appear no longer to be a pairing, so the 14th pair (alongside Huey/Inglot) isn't really in contention.
Of the as-yet unqualified pairs ahead of Murray/Peers, Gonzalez and Lipsky (11) are (subject to my wretched computational skills) 135 points ahead; Benneteau/Zimonjic (10) are 360 points ahead; Mirnyi/Tecau (9) are 565 points ahead; Fyrstenberg/Matkowski (8) are 645 points ahead; Marrero/Verdasco (7) are 685 points ahead; Melo/Dodig (6) are 870 points ahead; and Qureshi/Rojer (5) are 880 points ahead. Meanwhile, charging up from behind are Bopanna and ERC, currently a mere 55 points behind.
Looking upwards, if Marray/Fleming were to beat Gonzalez and Lipsky in the first round, they would be doing not only themselves but their compatriot a favour. Ditto with Huey/Inglot and Mirnyi/Tecau (bit of a tougher ask, that).
Huey and Inglot are themselves still in contention as well ... but they have a lot more points to make up and their draw (if it follows form: Mirnyi/Tecau, Bopanna/ERV, Bryans) is rather nasty.

Aha. Apologies (earlier post had suggested incorrectly that seeded byes would receive points even if they lost their first match - now edited to avoid further confusion)
Crikey I'm exhausted just watching live scores now...................the winning point was the first time they won on a 2nd serve from their opponents in the whole match!

Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
