QR2: Sam Murray WR 166 v Michaela Honcova (SVK) WR 248

H2H 1-1, both in 50Ks in Canada last autumn, Sam in 2 sets in Saguenay in late October, Honky in 3 a week later.

wins 2&4

bit rusty but constructs lots of points real well


next round could be bigger test in pfizenmayer but that match still on court and honcova won set 1 easy

sam has an even chance to q here i think coz a Q3 would be gavrilova or krunic and if sam can play the level of tennis she did against KDK in Vancouver then she can win two more matches no prob

Never seen Sam play before and reasonably impressed. Decent serve, can hit a big ball and has a decent double handed backhand. When she gets everything together she will cause good players problems.

Looks like Honcova in next round and with all the seeds gone in qualifying in her quarter, she must have a good chance of getting through. Also a Qv Q first round draw which would be nice.
