It looked like he might need the cushion, but Richard saves bp(s?) to hold for 5-1* in the 2nd

Now 5-1.

How fitting would it be if the king of bakery products could finish off the final with another one.

Come on Richard.

Angelinos holds, so Richard will serve for his first Futures singles title ... this might be a bumpy ride ...

Many congratulations to Richard, who serves out the match to avenge last week's defeat and win his 1st Futures singles title! biggrin

FINAL: (5) Richard Gabb WR 477 beat (1) Theodoros Angelinos (GRE) WR 294 (CH 292 in Sep) by 7-6(5) 6-2

He should now be very close to the top 400.

Richard's exploits this week have also moved him up to =10th in points picked up since the start of 2013:

5805 Murray
339 Evans
278 J Ward
179 Cox
125 Corrie
117 Willis
110 Edmund
105 Rice
93 Hewitt
87 A Ward, Gabb

N.B. These are 2013-only points rather than race points (which also include Nov/Dec 2012) and to the end of week 41, so they don't include the 6 points Dan Cox picked up in Stockholm today.
