Nalbandian Retires

Always a stylish player to watch, but sadly it appears his shoulder injury has got the better of him.

Linesmen the world over heave a sigh of relief . . .

Seriously, it's such a shame his level of commitment never matched his talent. Who knows what he could have achieved.

Edited to correct typos. It's fatal trying to type with a cat on your lap - especially when it's a restless cat.

Madeline. Forgive the off topic question. I need your expertise! smile

Having 10 days ago brought our first ever pet into the house (a 9 week old kitten), and therefore all of us having to learn on the job (especially me as I mostly work from home!), when do you start worrying about the young mogster not eating!

From 3 sachets (served as 6 half portions) a day regular as clockwork for the last week (same brand, all in jelly, every flavour went down a treat) to no interest whatsoever for the whole of today - flavours shes enjoyed before. She seems happy enough, no obvious signs of illness/tummy trouble, playing happily, wanting attention, etc......but just eyeballs her bowl occasionally and walks off.

I'm trying to be cool and aloof about it, but as a novice I'm a bit confused. At what point in your opinion does it go from being "a bit odd, just one of those cat things" to "worth checking with the vet". 24 hours; 48 hours.

Wish they could bloody talk!

Apologies to everyone else for this - please don't batter me!!!!!wink

- Just remembered I could have sent a direct message instead: I'm going to regret this!!!

As long as you have called the cat "Nalbandian", I would say this is completely ON topic, so no problem here. biggrin

Well she has drawn a little bit of blood, and I don't think she meant it, so perhaps there is a tenuous link!

Why can't we all improve our kitty knowledge?

All you cat owners need to buy this - www.cafepress.com.au/+david-nalbandian+pet-tags

(I was searching to verify if Bandy has a pet cat or not, and stumbled upon this instead.)

Showing outstanding levels of focus and single-mindedness!

I challenge our players to be professional and focused on their tennis, and not go off-piste into the worlds of FIFA 14, Nandos, Solihull nightclubs, fashion shoots, cake shops, etc and then I do exactly the same thing myself.

What a cat-astrophe! smile

 Wow, really. Snap.

My first ever cat, first ever pet that was solely mine and first in the household I'm staying in, 9 week old kitten, but it was 9 days ago now.

See the chat thread for pics lol, he's amazing. So playful and happy smile

CD. Sorry I have to stick to tennis.

However the "junior female player" under discussion appears to be fit, well and hard at work honing her anticipation, hand-eye coordination and footwork skills on the practice court. Her coach told me that once she had taken an illegal mid-final set toilet break in yesterday's match - a break that seemed to go on for an eternity (having failed to do so as is customary after the first or second sets), her form miraculously turned around, she took on extra energy supplies and victory was hers.

I have said many times before that the ITF has to so something about this kind of behaviour. Disgraceful!
