This pretty much answers my questions on the other thread. Thanks.
I will keep the forum updated on the outcomes of a number of training options that we are going to fully test & evaluate .
But its all about building on the firm foundations that Marcus has created this year prior to moving forward & consolidating .
You're one of my favourite posters on here indiana, you are one of the few who actually dares to express an opinion that would generally be contrary to the popular consensus on the board every now and then, and I generally enjoy your posts which almost always offer something worth reading or give some food for thought.
Just annoys me that some people will make such silly comments to rebuke someone's post because they don't go with the popular flow, even though they are actually probably closer to the truth than just blind positivity

While I don't wish to belittle anyone's achievements doubles at futures level is pretty much a joke. Very few players take it remotely seriously.
Have you won one?
And the award for most stupid pointless post of the day goes to.......
Don't forget to thank jesus in your acceptance speech spud

Oh shucks, John, I can now go to bed with a warm, fuzzy feeling...
To be fair, there are plenty independant minds around. For better or worse, I would definitely say that the forum has actually become less "consensual" this year, and ( generally constructive ) criticism more noticeable. So you would really have had fun before LOL
I think there are sone that would still prefer to live in Happyland, but we will overcome..
There's an old joke about efficient markets: Two economists were walking together, and one said: "There's a £10 note on the ground." The other replied: "You can't be right - if there was, someone would have picked it up".
It has long struck me that Doubles is a prime example of an inefficient market. There's £10 notes all over the place waiting to be picked up. Yes, the prize money is a lot less than Singles, but the competition for that prize money is weaker too, and by a greater factor.
To prove my point, here's a question for you: Which British tennis players apart from Andy Murray have won more than $100,000 in 2013? The answer might surprise you:
1. Colin Fleming - $206,540
2. Dominic Inglot - $144,983
3. Dan Evans - $136,894
4. Jonny Marray - $133,822
5. Jamie Murray - $119,485
6. James Ward - $103,922
One has to say that history is against Marcus Willis ever making a living from Singles. Concentrating on Doubles is likely to be a better option.
