She played quite low down the line-up At FSU. Did ok before going to college, wouldn't be surprised if she gives it a go for a year and sees what happens.

That's good.
Does anyone know what Amy plans to do this year ? As far as I've made out, she's just graduated from Florida State this spring/summer and was one of the most successful US uni players in her four years there.
Just wondering, obviously, if she's intending on trying the pro circuit . . .
You inspired some digging, CD, which would seem to echo PaulM's point in terms of her university career ... good, but don't think I'd say one of the most successful US uni players, based on rankings.
On the other hand, as this story suggests, she had some super wins towards the end of her career, her ranking may have been negatively impacted over the years by injury/illness, and she sounds like a thoroughly excellent egg! www.seminoles.com/sports/w-tennis/spec-rel/051813aab.html

Hope she does really well.
Thanks for that. I really don't understand college tennis, it's feeble - I've got a long list of who's gone and to where but the I obviously really don't understand the divisions etc. I need to corner Sarah Borwell and grill her !
However, as you say , the article says Amy had two 'very difficult' surgeries while she was at college so that must have majorly hampered her. And, yes, she certainly sounds like a great ambassador for the country - team leadership and all that - AND had a very good senior year (from what I can tell!) - as you say, a thoroughly good egg !
She played two matches yesterday but won them only losing 7 games in total. That's the way to do it . . .
