Well, it may be a sign of Anglo-franco brotherhood (!) but, more likely it's because Lisa is a member of Clermont Ferrand tennis club and plays in their league team and (presumably, haven't checked) she had the best result for a home club player last year.
Naomi is also a club and team member and I assume that's why she's gone back to play there - lots of friends, support the club that's been supporting her. . . .
Jeanjean qualified then won R1 against Zander WR 617 (ex-top 400) in St Malo last week and was ranked 51 in juniors in 2010 when she was only 14 - she has only played one junior event since, Roland Garros qualifying last year.
I wonder if CD has any more info on what she has been up to since 2010. A tiny bit of digging found a few French sites which suggests she was one of the big young hopes of French tennis, has a tennis father (if you get my drift) and has been very prone to injuries.

Oh yes !!! Some of which I won't write but, suffice to say, that Leolia was the absolute star of youngster tennis when she was 11 and 12 and signed a really mega contract with Nike (I think) at that young age. And she was an exceptional player - I saw her play and she had an amazing natural read of the game, an amazing array of shots and shot-making and a head on her shoulders to know how to use them.
But (and there's obviously a 'but') her father . . . well, he was (still is I imagine) a very 'strong' character, a not altogether pleasant character, IMHO, who obviously butted heads in a major way with the FFT. Both he and his wife, I believe, gave up their jobs to devote themselves 100% to Leolia. He was an authoritarian man. Pretty vocal. You get the picture . . .
For the last couple of years, Leolia hasn't been playing ('injured and not motivated' being the official line). I don't know about the injury. Or indeed the motivation. More importantly, I don't know now if she is still effectively trained by her father.
Her results have not been amazing since coming back but they are getting better and better. I hope Naomi wins but I also wish Leolia well - I don't think her childhood has necessarily been a bundle of joy . . .
R1: BROADY, Naomi (GBR) 287 lost to JEANJEAN, Léolia (FRA) Q UNR 6-3 7-5
This is a girl (see above) who Nike reckoned was about the best in the world at about age 13, so the result is not quite as bad as it seems (and she really was a prodigious talent in quite an unusual way) but I still thought Naomi would win . . . :(
Naomi went through a purple patch losing just 2 points from 2-4* to *5-4 but was quickly broken serving for the set. Way too many double faults, over 70% won behind her first serve, around 30% on her second.
