Well, she won it in the end...

She saved 3 set points from 3-6* quite quickly.

More break points all round - Amanda saves Wachaczyk's and takes one of her own then holds for 4-3* - they've both won a few more points on return than on serve.

Mandy's had 5 SP (at least, maybe 6) - some on her serve, some on the Julia's serve (the better option!) and STILL no luck. 5-5

I thought she had that set done and dusted at *5-3 and 40-0 or 40-15 up ... come back to find her 1-4* down in the tiebreak

Wachaczyk had set points but now it's 6-6(*6-6) - it's like one of those all-French matches where neither player seems to want to win (no doubt that's not really the case, I hasten to add)

She'll almost certainly play the very up-and-coming young German Carina Witthoeft next (who'll be the overwhelming favourite) so great for Mandy to get a victory and some points first.
