Started the thread early as James has made qualies, but Dan is 5th on the alts list and is waiting for 5 to withdraw from the main draw or those above him on the qualis/alts list:
Troicki looks a given and Cilic may also be for the same reason:

If anyone can add the players above Dan on the qualis/alts list that would be great

I make Dan 3 out now with Browns withdrawal and Sandgren Wildcard (Unless they give his wildcard to someone else if he gets in by right) otherwise 4 out then.
127 (WC) Rufin, Guillaume (FFT) 128 (WC) Duckworth, James (TA)
What does the FFT and TA stand for?
FFT = French Federation Tennis
TA = Tennis Australia
Its the slam reciprocal wildcard
This is what I thought it was and it winds me up something rotten. We give some of our wild cards away to foreign players, or next in the qualies list and others take them, but give nothing back. Theres a good argument for not being able to trade wild cards (an unfair advantage to those countries) but, the way things are at present, GB is the only one at a disadvantage.

You could look it at that way and it is annoying when we give wildcards to players of the three other Grand Slams but I do like the fact that we are different and do award wildcards to foreign players on merit and performance.

Arguing the devil's advocate though (sorry!), all the US players who got MD WCs (except the young U18 champion) are well inside the top WR 250.
i.e. if they'd been British players, they'd have satisfied the criteria and the LTA would have given them all wildcards into Wimbledon too and there wouldn't have been any left over.
It's sad but true that the LTA was slightly scuppered simply because we had so few top 250 players.
(not sure what I think about reciprocal arrangements though - like you, they don't 'feel' quite right - rather like I scrub your back and you scrub mine)
Tsonga is also out (as feared and part of the 'French men's tennis playing on one leg' report mentioned on the other thread).
Not needed for Dan of course (see above) but Andy might be grateful (and I guess all other withdrawals bumps up the top players from the qualies into the MD so making life for Dan and James, and the others, just fractionally easier).

That takes David Goffin into the main draw and out of qualifying which is certainly good news. I wouldn't have wanted to see Ward or Evo coming up against him.
