QR1: (q1) Naomi Broady WR 305 has a bye & plays Nicole Rottmann (AUT) WR 433 or Jacqueline Cako (USA) WR 584 in QR2
QR1: (q5) Jade Windley WR 348 v Katerina Boiko (CAN) UNR
QR1: (q8) Emily Webley-Smith WR 420 v Sonja Molnar (CAN) WR 579

Boiko is 1-10 in ITFs, having won her first match in qualifying here in 2009 but lost the next 10 - Emily thrashed her 1 & 0 in QR1 here last year. Molnar lost 3 & 2 to Samantha in Granby last week and lost in 3 sets to Mel South in February.

The other seeds in the Brits' sections are (q7) Miki Miyamura (JPN) WR 369 for Naomi, ex-top 150 (q2) Jelena Pandzic (CRO) WR 324 for Jade and (q4) Akiko Omae WR 344 for Emily.

Emily up at about 6 pm our time and Jade around 10.30 pm our time (both according to the ITF scoreboard). Can do score updates if anyone wants them?

 Yes please if you could curious to see if Emily can stop the rot here 6 defeats in a row to similar ranked players. Hope so.

All the girls playing here bar Sam are in the last 25k of the trip and should all prob make the main draw too so plenty more chances for points.

... thus avoiding a 13-set losing streak in singles since she gave that walkover to Rodionova in Nottingham. Presumably she's had trouble recovering completely from whatever caused that.

 Was it not the other way around and that Rodionova gave Em the walkover?
