L32: Brydan Klein WR 281 v Danai Udomchoke (THA) WR 252 (CH 77 in 2007)

They have met once before, in the only Davis Cup rubber Brydan ever played for Australia back in 2009 - Udomchoke won in straight sets.

The winner is likely to get top seed Sela in R2.

I don't think it was the scoreboard - I noticed there was a live stream for it so I had a look to see if it was raining (which would have meant Lisa's match as likely to stop too) and Udomchoke was just serving at 30-40 ...

Ah, as I write - 40-0 Brydan and Udomchoke has retired.

L32: Brydan Klein WR 281 beat Danai Udomchoke (THA) WR 252 (CH 77 in 2007) by 6-5 40-0 ret.

L16: Brydan Klein WR 281 v (1) Dudi Sela (ISR) WR 97 (CH 29 in 2009)

They have met twice before, in 2009 and 2010, when both would have been significantly higher-ranked than they are now. Sela won both matches, one in 3 sets and one in 2 close sets.

Brydan hasn't faced a break point yet (73% 1st serves in, winning 89% of the points when that happens) and has just broken to lead *6-5. There was a long delay at 30-40, no idea why.

didnt sela withdraw as top seed last week when klein drew the no2 seed.....slightly unlucky he didnt get him last week.
