Good wins for Jade and Naomi. Much better return that expected. Quite dissapointed with Mel to be 2-1 up a break then not win a game. peer isn;t that good

Apart from the two wins, I thought Ms Whybourn was quite impressive in her come-back. There aren't statistics for length of time for these matches, but she was fighting every point, and that second set went on for ages.

Not a bad day. Disappointed for Lisa. She fought so hard and seemed to have turned the tide but you can't hit two doubles at that stage of the match. She'll be gutted but I hope she can pick herself up. So much talent.

Shame Anna couldn't keep the comeback going. Did well to get back on serve only to be broken tp lose the match.

Nice effort from Mandy. That was a good draw on the grass but her lack of experience on it herself meant she had no real advantage. Shame she couldn't close out the second though.

Not much to say about Mel. Emily's match seemed to be very closely fought. Lots of tight games but she couldn't get her nose in front.

Katy still learning but excited to see what she does in the junior event.

So happy for Jade and a good win for Naomi.
