16 Brits in action but hard to see any of them making the final qualifying round, thus getting some points, due to the strength of the draw.

Actually we might just have one reasonable chance. Martin Alund is an out and out clay courter and after a quick glance at his record I can only find two matches that he has ever played on grass (1st round qualifiers at Wimbledon in 2010 and 2012). Broady, or to a lesser extent Thornley, might have a decent shot against him.
Yes, but you've got de Schepper at the top of that quarter and he's been playing really pretty well on grass this week.
I have already given up on us getting anyone through qualifying. I am just talking about getting someone into the final round, which nets a handy 6 points.

OK. I am going for a couple of first round shock wins here. Not saying which, other than Evo has softened a couple of the players up in the last two weeks

Think positive, as I always say.
Well I don't think Bambridge beating Pella is beyond the realms of possibility. Unfortunately he would almost certainly play Stakhovsky in round 2.
As for Slabba, if he beats Harrison on grass then I really do fear for the mental health of the American.
I thought Luke would come through the play offs so Pella might be a better scalp and a possibility. Against Evans he was clueless on grass and Alex Ward should have beaten him last month in clay by all accounts.
I didn't think that Smetty would win but that is a shocking scoreline.

I think it puts into perspective Dan's potential as a top 200 player, I'm afraid....frankly, limited. Suspect he'll bubble around 300-500 for years to come. Same story probably for Josh Milton this afternoon......how many times will he hold his serve today?
The Alund v Bant double bagel included Bant serving 11 DFs in his 6 service games, and only winning 30% of his first serves when they went in. I hope this is a case of just freezing on the day, rather than a reflection of his ability. He must surely be better than this.
Pleased that Broady seems to be coming through his match at least.....but with his serve so weak these days, the fat lady isn't likely to be singing yet.
Also hope that Russell's MTO when Richard was serving for the first set wasn't a Mischa Zverev, Victoria Azarenka, Jelena Jankovic style "strategic" time out to ruin the other player's rhythm and make them think about the fact they were close to beating a much higher ranked opponent.
