Week 24 - Wimbledon wildcard play-offs - grass

(1) Mel South v Sabrina Bamburac

(WC) Isabelle Wallace v (WC) Gabriella Taylor

(4) Anna Fitzpatrick v (WC) Katie Boulter

Daneika Borthwick v Katy Dunne

Francesca Stephenson v Jessica Ren

(WC) Eden Silva v (3) Anna Smith

(WC) Lana Rush v Laura Deigman

(WC) Harriet Dart v (2) Lucy Brown

Emily Webley-Smith and Jade Windley are stuck in Nottingham, so must hope to pick up 2 of the 3 remaining discretionary QWCs

Bottom half is open. Fitzy in a tough quarter but would also fancy Dunne to beat Mel from that half

It would be ridiculous if Emily got 'punished' for doing well in Nottingham (surely harder than winning one of the two places here) by not getting a QWC, though stranger things have happened. Similarly with Jade, who isn't stuck in Nottingham because of singles success but is stuck there because of (doubles) wins and would have been the top seed here had she been able to take part.

One of the better play-off draws i've seen in years with a mix of experience and youth.

Don't think you can looks past Anna Smith in the bottom half but the top half could see quite a few come through. Based o form Dunne might be a marginal favourite

I'll go against the above posts then and suggest that Mel will make it through, along with Anna Smith

Katy's academy have tweeted that she won and she plays Anna next - I don't know either score yet.

And not really a shock either I think Steven said on twitter. Lana is another up and coming youngster Lauras ranking misleading when you see where the points came from and likewise Harriet has already been in a final despite limited appearances.

I agree, neither result a big shock. I said "rankings upset" on Twitter, which I always use as code for a not too surprising win by a lower-ranked player over a higher-ranked one (or when I'm not sure whether it's a bit surprise in reality or not)

LTA site showing Anna Fitz won and Sabrina won 6-0 6-2 against Mel South... I am 100 percent sure that is wrong and the results are the other way around!!

If Sabrina beat Mel South 0 & 2 that's the most unexpected result I've seen on this board since I joined. I simply don't believe it for a second. If I'm wrong, I apologise, but there's no way......
