Of GB's 27 currently ranked women, 2 were in imminent danger of losing their ranking when their next point came off, Eden Silva on 10th June and Jess Ren on 17th June. So the winner of their Q1 match up ( earning a ranking point ) will at least be guaranteed retaining a ranking for a while longer.
:( Samantha Murray V Naomi Broady potential 2nd round match, Lisa Whybourn v Melanie South :( good draw though loads of brits to watch and see how they do :)

interesting match up I think eden has more power than Jess so that may be the factor to win.

some of them will be easily beaten by higher class foreign oposition. Looking For Lisa Sam to pull through to qualify
Loads of Brits seemed to make the cut. I have a feeling for some the bakery might be open.
Anna Smith out of the lower ranked players at the moment probably has the best chance along with Sam of making it through. 2 qualifiers would be a major success. Surely we will get one?
Steven what are the points on offer for qualifying? Is this the tournament That Jade Windley did well in last year?
Jaggy has answered the first bit. If you mean the one where Jade beat one of the Pliskova twins, that was the 50K, i.e. the 2nd Nottingham ITF. She went out to Fitzy in qr1 in the 75K.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Im guessing perhaps that we were limited for players who a) signed in and b) aren't playing in junior tourneys like the french. No Dunne Lumsden Brogan Boulter and Horn who would all have been better choices.
