Week 20 - Egypt F7 ($10,000) - Sharm el Sheikh (Clay)

I'm pretty sure Fitzy will be seeded and not a particulary strong draw. Expecting good things again from Fitzy

Touch and go if they use last weeks rankings for seedings, definite if they use the new list just issued.

Interesting Qualifying tournament here !!

Fitzy is a DA.  Hoping he might sneak a seeding but his recent (temporary) drop in the rankings might see him as the highest ranked non seed.

I don't think the word tournament is appropriate in this case.

Fitzy sneaks the 8th seed spot. And his reward for this is to draw the only player in the qualifiers who had a ranking.

L32: (8) Andrew Fitzpatrick WR 565 v (Q) Matthew Langley (AUS) WR 1837

Could be tougher than it looks though as Langley flew through the qualifiers without dropping a single point - just like all the others !!

Looks like Wednesday for this match.

Looks like they couldn't even fill the main draw, the top seed given a bye first round.

strange vibes out here, its massive you walk around and it seems dead because it is so spread out. this week is going to be one to get my head down and just get on with things and get the wins how ever they come. not really anyone to socialise with out here so just going to keep it business.
managed to scrape together 2 back to back practises today after waiting at the club all day trrying to find someone.

see what i can do tomorrow.
2nd on should be in the heat which will be good to get used to things quickly

Good luck tomorrow Fitzy.  I would think that with your experiences recently in Vietnam, you will hopefully acclimatise quite quickly to the heat.

Go get 'em.

A break from Langley sees him serve for the set at 3-5* but Fitzy breaks straight back.

*4-5

Fitzy served for the match at *6-5 but couldn't hold and then lost the tie break to 5.

Now 2-1* up on serve in the decider.

Massive hold for Fitzy. Saves 2 BP's at 4-4 to lead 5-4* in the decider.

VAMOS !!!
