L32: (7) Kyle Edmund WR 510 v (LL) Janis Podzus (LAT) UNR
A decent draw for Kyle. If the seedings run their course. Kyle will face his old buddy (and Nº1 seed) Chase Buchanan in the QF. But let's not count our chickens just yet. It would be good just to see Kyle hit some form.
Haven't seen any results at all here, and it looks like there has been heavy rain and thundery conditions. Forecast to last until about 5pm local - if the courts are covered, may be 2 or 3 hours play, otherwise a wash-out. Tomorrow also looks dodgy.
OOP has now been updated with the 10am start shifted back to not before 3pm (8pm UK). At least they are being positive.........I don't think Kyle is on livescores anyway

L16: (7) Kyle Edmund WR 510 beat Vladimir Obradovic (SRB) WR 724 (CH 368 in 2008) by 4 & 2
QF: (7) Kyle Edmund WR 510 v Martins Podzus (LAT) WR 810
Déja vu for Kyle - Martins, who beat top seed Chase Buchanan in straight sets in R2, is not just the brother of Kyle's R1 opponent, he's his twin brother!

Kyles match should be starting at half past, so about 10 minutes time!
Interesting to see the ages of the players left in the draw - Nishioka, 17, Frantangelo, 19, Podzus, 18, Edmund, 18, Kreuger, 19 and Mitchell 20 - so lots of young talent on display. Seems appropriate considering Kyle is almost certain to become GBs highest ranked teenager this week!
Kyle won easily when they played in the Canadian Juniors G1 last year, so let's hope for a repeat
Thanks for pointing that out - 6-2 6-2 in the QF, albeit on hard. I can see it being quite a bit closer but you would certainly hope the result would be the same.
