James Marsalek is a DA here and should be seeded in what looks like a pretty weak field. Strangely enough quite a few players are less than eager to play tennis in a city that is just 8 miles from the Gaza strip and which is often targetted by rockets.
QR1: James Allemby UNR v (q8) Saar Steele (ISR) WR 1895
L32: (7) James Marsalek WR 637 v Dekel Bar (ISR) WR 935
Pretty nice draw for James. Second round opponent, if he gets there, will also be outside the top 800 and he is in the quarter of the fourth seed, who is outside the top 600.
R1: (WC) James Allemby / Stepan Khotulev (RUS) UNR v Alon Elia / David Mushayev (ISR/ISR) UNR
R1: (2) James Marsalek / Daniel Glancy (IRL) WR 968 v Bar Tzuf Botzer / Enzo Couacaud (ISR/FRA) UNR

Ouch indeed! Still 2 points is a distinct uptick on his season to date, I suppose
Well yes, but as we have frequently discussed the points only really become worthwhile in futures if you make the semis and for the second tournament in a row he has missed out on doing so. Once through not serving out a match and a poor result here.
His upcoming schedule is increasing bizarre, off to Greece next week, then back to Israel for a week, then off to Greece again.
