I was hoping Emily had got the 0 & 0 when I went onto ITF to check the result and wasn't disappointed.

Samantha couldn't really have asked for a nicer draw through to the QFs (unless Emily gets the qualifying slot near her), where it would get harder, obviously ... and she has avoided the half with Bychkova in it.

I didn't think it was possible to find an OoP for this until I realised there was a men's Futures on here this week too - Emily's FQR match and Sam's R1 match were both scheduled to be 2nd on court after 06.00 BST today.
