The MDWCs seem fairly clear. For the QWCs Ms Murray, Whybourn (on rankings) at present and some combination of Ms Webley-Smith, Ms Broady and Ms South? Actually latter three seem particularly deserving of QWCs on the basis of past form and skill on surface.
Tara is the most interesting MD WC for me, I feel like it has been a long time coming and with the right draw (preferably a clay courter of some description) she has the game and the love of grass to make a bit of a story.
I think top 275 is going to be enough and both Sam and Lisa will get MDWC which I feel they deserve. Both are at or around CH, with games that would translate well to grass. Lisa in particular has beaten players ranked 165, 154 and 213 in qualies in the last two years when her ranking was outside the top 350. Now that its about 100 places higher and she has some more experience to call on the WC should be there if she wants it.
Jo, Elena, Anne - NID.
I agree that EWS, Naomi and Mel will get QWC but see absolutely no argument for giving them MD.
I do hope that this time next year we have some younger players looking to challenge for these WC - Eleanor Dean etc.
1)Johanna Konta (top 250, young, and could have beaten McHale last year). 2)Anne Keothavong (top 250). 3)Tara Moore (Having a great year, young, top 250). 4)Elena Baltacha (Bally loves the grass, loves Wimbledon, and even if she drops out of 250 she'll get a MDWC). 5)Sam Murray (if she makes top 250 which I think she will). 6)? 7)? 8)?
I cant really see any of the other girls getting a MDWC, maybe Lisa if she makes top 250 in time for the cut off, but like someone said earlier she has points to defend. Therefore, the final 3 MDWCs may go to a player who does well in the grass season or a young player.

QWC
1)Lisa Whybourn (Hope she gets MDWC and has reached FQR a couple of years ago). 2)Naomi Broady (Not in great form but has a good game for grass and I think she could win a few rounds in qualies) 3)Jade Windley (Played well at Eastbourne last year from what I remember). 4)Melanie South (Loves the grass and has had some good results on the surface) 5)Emily-Webley Smith (Has performed well at Wimbledon before and really pushed Zakopalova in 2011) 6)Lucy Brown (Young, could win a round with the right draw). 7)Play off 8)Play off
Unfortunately I don't think Amanda will play Wimbledon. Has she played a tournament on grass before? Katy Dunne could get a QWC. Does anybody have any news on Eleanor Dean?
I'm not sure who "deserves" a WC or QWC or doesn't, but with a good 7 or 8 weeks of tournament play before now and then, including a few grass court tournaments, all I would wish for is that the oldies (forgive me), the mid- to upper-mid table stalwarts and the up-and-coming juniors all put in some strong performances over this period to make these decisions genuinely competitive and diffcult, rather than based on loyalty, rotation, potential or worst of all, process of elimination!
With the best will in the world, given the current state of the nation on the women's side below the top 6 or 8, just 1 or 2 good performances over this period might be enough to swing it!
I noted a couple of comments on Eleanor Dean, who I believe hasn't been involved in any tournaments, pro or junior, since breaking down in the Eddie Herr junior event last November. If anyone has any news, hopefully positive news, would be great to hear it. I believe Phil mentioned a few months back that her knee issues have been diagnosed, and should be a thing of the past when she stops growing, but does that mean she effectively has to sit out the next year or two? Hope not.

Don't know the exact details but the good news is that Miss Dean will be able to play full time at some stage in the medium term as soon as she's stopped growing.
Thanks for the replies. I don't think either Beth or Scott are ready for QWC but as much as I like the idea of a junior play off for a QWC, it would surely be a waste when even our established seniors struggle to get wins. Will bouchards WC be redistributed to a Brit?
I think any players that do well at a junior slam should get a QWC for Wimbledon. Kyle, Liam, Oli. Perhaps someone like Tom Farquharson could make a case for one if he continues with his rate of improvement and obviously having won the boys doubles must help.

Personally the only ones i'd give MD WC's to are Johanna, Tara, Anne and Bally. Unless Sam moves up into the top 250 then she gets one too. If not she gets a quallies WC along with Lisa. I'd be tempted to give anyone who's top 350 quallies WC and make the rest play pre-quallifying for 2 more slots. If theres anything left then so be it
Should have added I think they should give a QWC to the winner of the Under 18's national champs from the previous year. It would get a better draw for that event and also really by then the winner should be top 500/400 anyway so shouldn't get embarassed
Beth Askew and Scott Clayton (Spectator provided correctly the winners of Junior Wimbledon last year). The girls event was particularly weak, and would I agree have attracted more of the top juniors with a QWC for Wimbledon at stake.
I think the LTA & All England Club will be obliged to give all the girls WC if they're in the top 250 which I think is right to do so. 6 seems a lot but is surely a good sign - and nice to think one of those girls could get 100 points with a good draw. I would love to see the day when the LTA are forced to up the 250 rule to a higher ranking - 200 or so, and it might just happen one day.
Naomi is definitely capable of excellent grass court tennis and her form seems on the rise - but to play three brilliant matches successively is unlikely IMO.
