Oh no ! I looked away for a while and then the match had disappeared.

It shows on the ITF scoreboard as Emily retired

She has a lot of bad luck poor Ems.

Emily was broken to 15 when serving for the match, carves out 3 match points against serve but can't convert. Currently 5-5

Uncomfortably close to being a travesty of justice there, but Emily finally got home in the end. Phew!

R2: WEBLEY-SMITH, Emily (GBR) 431 defeated RAMIALISON, Irina (FRA) Q 472 5-7 6-1 7-6(5)

Up next is either, #1 seed Julie Coin 198 (CH: 60 07/2009) or, WC Oceane Adam 890 (CH: 683 11/2010) - Em has never met either player before.

Very close to all going horribly wrong for Em there. Good to see her battling through. I'm surprised that she dislikes indoor courts so much given her good serve and ability to come forward, but then again each to their own. I believe she likes playing outdoors with the sun on her back - another reason to head to Australia, Japan etc I guess as well as the sometimes "easier" points.

Coin would be a tough prospect as she had a good run last week in the 50K, I don't know much about Oceane, though she could be a sea of troubles (quoting Shakespeare and going for an obvious pun).
