Both start their qualifying matches tomorrow.
So. Do I go or not. Truth is, I am interested to see the facilities and the level of organisation. They are running a "pre qualifying" tournament each week where the prize for the winner is a WC for the MD and the runner up gets a WC for the Qualies.
During the 2nd week they will also be running junior tournaments for "Benjamin, Alevin, Infantile, Cadete and Junior" (translated as U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18) over nine days and ALL at the same venue as the main tournament. It must be a massive club.
In addition, they have adverts on the website for volunteer line judges, ball boys/girls etc. I am thinking that this could be an exceptionally well organised three week block and I am interested to see how it goes.
Hoping Slabba has made it over this week for the main draw.

Do you beat the player you coach because you are clearly the better player or do you roll over to get him into the main draw?
I would say that you have to give the match your best effort. Rolling over and letting your young pupil beat you isn't going to do him any good in the long term and assuming that he is smart enough to realise that you have gifted him a win actually undermines the coach/player relationship.
