Ed Corrie phoned in on the touchtennis show and said the plan was to play St Brieuc Qualifying, then have a couple of weeks off before a couple of 10k's in Greece and hopefully sneak main draw of Karshi Challenger

Fantastic to see Ed taking just a 1 week break, then straight into Challengers. Good effort.

Very surprised to see Fitzy in Vietnam. I thought he'd never want to go there in his life again! He really needs some points, so this trip had better be more productive than the last.

Great to see Ed's off to play some Challengers Let's hope it doesn't prove to be too big a step up (it doesn't help that there are so few of them at the moment that they are stronger than ever) but it's definitely time for him to have a go.

Just out of interest where can you find the entry lists for men's challengers?

I'm confused.

Dan Evans competed in week 5, and a number of us commented on him not having formally entered any tournaments after this, wondering where he had gone! He managed to get 2 last minute QWCs to GB $10ks in weeks 10 and 11. Which is very rough on those whose made the effort of entering qualies and coming up against a "ringer". No suggestion of this happening again in week 12 (unless he actually entered on time, but his name isn't on the ITF acceptance list), and no tournaments entered for week 13 or 14 either.

So in effect I think that means he hasn't entered any tournaments formally between weeks 6 and 14 (and still counting).

And he's had a 4 week break between weeks 5 and 10, and looks now to be having at least another 3 week break after playing for just 2 weeks.

The good news is that he's playing pretty well by all accounts, which makes it even more odd!

This comes across as completely haphazard and unplanned - is there someone out there who knows what his gameplan is for 2013, because I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see more of him?

Maybe Evans will go to a few challengers (St Brieuc)? Most players don't tend to formally enter them unless they have a chance of making Main Draw cut and just turn up and sign in for Quals. It is weird how he hasn't entered some of these GB futures though

A rare mistake from seagull. Golding is playing now down to play the 10K futures in Egypt this week.

Maybe mistake is a bit harsh when up until yesterday ITF still had him down as playing his number 1 choice in Italy! Still thanks for the heads up

What can I say, you set the bar very high

But yes I'll grant you that it was an understandable mistake.

Shocking behavior, seagull, not constantly monitoring entry lists 24/7 to see if a player changes their priorities LOL

Great service, mate.

Ah but you see, seagull had noticed that Oli was no longer playing in Italy and had edited this thread to reflect that. He had however failed to notice that he was playing in Egypt.

But yes a great service that I am sure we are all grateful for.
