That's a fair amount of points to be losing for our players...
Don't forget that it is a double week (no update the previous week due to Miami last a week and a half) and last year included a 15K future and a challenger on home soil.

The lack of tournaments in general will probably even out points lost for other players as well so although points here will drop a few rankings it will probably even out over the next month or two.
According to MTF, James was still 6 out (and Jamie presumably 7 out - their list only went down as far as James) on Friday but the qualifying draw has just come out and the seeds in qualifying are ranked 387-701 c.f. 282-474 last year, when Evo and A Ward ended up playing each other in the FQR.
I'm hoping this means both Brits got in rather than that neither of them turned up! A pity none of the slightly lower-ranked Brits turned up for qualifying.
With three Challengers in the Americas in week 13, I'm surprised Boggo isn't giving any of them a go. Or is he going to turn up in qualifying at one of the other two?

i think next up for alex will be a futures in a few weeks time. shame he's down for anyhting before then as he was playing well.
i wonder if poissibly he is trying to manage his schedule better, not take on too many consecutive weeks to ensure his back doesnt go again. it's certainly very different to a few years ago when he used to go hurtling all over the place.

James McGee tweeted that the cut fell to 290 and that he was the last direct entrant. If the boys went they'll be in the MD.
