QF: (2) Jamie Baker WR 210 defeated (7) Adam el Mihdawy (USA) WR 352 by 4 & 1

*****

SF:  (8) Tim Pütz (GER) WR 355 vs (2) Jamie Baker WR 210

He's already done for the seventh seed.  Surely the eighth will be a piece of cake...

And Polansky (WR 186) has just been dumped out by the Yank, Austin Krajicek (WR 462), by 6-4 1-6 6-7(6), which I guess makes JB the de facto top seed!  wink

Pütz beat Jamie in 3 sets in Cardiff last October and the four games he dropped today were the first he has dropped all week, having handed out a double bagel in R1 then got a walkover in R2.

Adam el Mihdawy must be one of Jamie's favourite opponents - today is the third time he has beaten him for the loss of just 5 games, and in their other meeting, he double bagelled him!

Don't worry, I wasn't trying to contradict you (or the irony), just trying to add a bit of additional relevant info
