The link works for me if you copy and paste it into the address bar, but not if you just click it directly. Same for the qualifying draw in the opening post.

Good to see Slabba back. Pushed out of 8th seed spot and ends up drawing 8th seed.

I know its unlikely but i always like to get a bit excited about the possibility of an all brit last 16 :)

I presume this means that Dan's entry is all very last minute and unplanned.....for those for in the know about how these things work, is a QWC for a highly ranked player like Dan indicative of

1. Being too late, somehow, for a MDWC

2. Dan himself preferring a QWC, not wanting to use up any of his allowance of 3 MDWCs on such a low level event, so early in the year. I believe each player can request upto 5 QWCs in addition.

3. Wanting some extra practice (seems unlikely)

4. Being refused a MDWC for some reason

Dan seemed to go completely off the radar for 4 weeks after he played in week 5: no tournaments played, no tournament entries between week 6 and week 12 inclusive (at least), no tweets, no word or news about an injury. One poster mentioned he was on holiday - not sure if this was reporting fact, speculation, sarcasm or something else. Anyway, this seems a strange, sudden and seemingly unplanned way to come back on the scene, so perhaps there was an injury issue. Anyone know

L32:  (3/Q) Dan Evans WR 367 defeated Ashley Hewitt WR 750 by 4 & 4

That's four Brits out of five through to the second round so far, two of them against non-Brit opponents. wink
