Week 8 - ATP 250 Series - Open 13 - Marseille (indoor hard)

Singles qualifying.  Good on the lad for giving it a go:

QR1:  Jamie Baker WR 206 vs Di Wu (CHN) WR 187

Given JB's never-say-di(e) (sorry!  IGMC...)  attitude, a chance?

Di Wu is a talent for sure, but Baker showed in Aus he can step it up. Will be interesting to follow

Ahhhh, he had a chance to break at *15-40 but Wu has pegged it back to deuce.

And then Ad to Baker but now it's Wu with the advantage.

Wuuuuuuuu - Baker has Ad again.

Hoping Mr Baker does well. And glad he's making the effort. Even if Di Wu-rst case scenario occurs, it's still a good thing to do. (Sorry)

Already prefer to concentrate on the doubles, where I assume we Brits have a better chance - & there's a bit of a turn-up for the books, I guess because Jonny's calf injury is more long-term than we'd have liked ( cry ):

R1:  Jerzy Janowicz & Fredrik Nielsen (POL/DEN) vs Jamie Delgado & Ken Skupski

R1:  Johan Brunström & Raven Klaasen (SWE/RSA) vs Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS)  cry

R1:  Robin Haase & Dick Norman (NED/BEL) vs (2) Rohan Bopanna (IND) & Colin Fleming

Depends how serious your question is.  Wu is his family (surname) name, so Di is his first name. wink

Oh dear. Lost his serve again and now down 2-5*.

So I ask myself - what Wu Di do if I were in his position now ?
