I hope you are right, but I'd be surprised, particularly for week 8 starting imminently. He is currently 3rd Alt.

He's just entering Futures with high cut-offs at the moment. Additionally though, the dearth of Challengers doesn't help at the moment because more Challenger-level players are entering Futures as a result.

Kyle will be direct entrant for the next two weeks in Spainsince withdrawals are finalised. Similarly the 10ks men and women will be packed with Brits

It's touch and go for next week. There are 2 guys ranked lower than Kyle who could take SE places, therefore reducing the number of direct entry places available. Coincidentally, those two players received SEs for this week's tournament.

Burton also looks to be playing France

It is a 15K but the field is looking very strong! Goodall's choice in playing 10K at home is fair, he's blogged to say after this set of 10k's he will look to travel which is good. Looking at the challenger schedule, there's a run of 3 challengers in Mexico which i hope a few brits take on

Yes, looking to travel sounds a good option for Josh. Definitely ahead of just sitting on his backside until the next GB future !

So despite not having any players in the ATP top 400, Mexico are managing to hold more Challengers in a month than we're managing to hold in the whole year ... bleh

Shame no one has looked to go to Switzerland for their 3 carpet futures, looking at the entry list for the first one, the field is going to be so weak!!

Sutton Wild Cards to Emily Smith, Eden Silva, Danielle Konotoptseva and Sabrina Bamburac. Can't believe Anna Smith hasn't got one - maybe it's being saved for Bath.

Brits seem to have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to playing events in Germany and Switzerland, when you'd think they'd like the fast indoor surfaces you often get there. Pauffley and Meehan are the only ones I can remember playing much there in the last year or son.

Fitzy now 1 place off a seeding. Fingers crossed he is seeded as that seems to be the only way for him to avoid meeting one in R1.
