The top 2 seeds, Josh Goodall & James Marsalek meet in tomorrows final. Josh should be pleased at having won 3 out of 3 ties breaks in his matches so far having lost the last 5 at futures level.
Josh wins the final 6-4 6-4 and picks up a handy £750. Both players are on the list for another Tier 1 at Sutton next week along with Marcus Willis amongst others.
watching British tour tennis by the sea in Bournemouth (gale force winds almost unplayable). So now inside watching Monte Carlo by the sea - know where I rather be!
After most these players have been playing indoors for quite some time, it's interesting to see how they manage the transition to outdoor clay, some have really struggled today despite the weather.
Another good looking win for O'Mara, beating Thornton-Brown 3 and 0.
Jonny has now played six sets this week and has lost just 10 games. He plays Harry Skinner in the semi-final while in the other semi Malik plays Rosenzweig
He had a first round bye, beat Samuel Sutton 1 and 1 in the second round, got walkovers in both the QFs and SFs and in the final beat Alexander Glasson 6-0, 4-1 ret.
Tier 1 - Outdoor Clay event at Hatfield this week sees Ed Corrie, Neil Pauffley, Richard Bloomfield and Dan Cox all in the draw.
Good to see Ed Corrie playing again after his recent medical problems.
True, but not sure what the point of playing on clay would be for a week max. I suppose 1 week of practice on grass, then the Felixstowe British Tour on grass would be plenty of acclimatisation for Ed before Nottingham. So this week probably just to remove some rust, and pick up some beer money.
