Week 6 - Challenger ($50,000) - West Lakes (Adelaide), Australia (hard)

In Burnie, James played 7th seed Duckworth in R1 and got a qualifier in R2. And now ...

L32: James Ward WR 270 v (6) James Duckworth (AUS) WR 223

... with the winner playing a qualifier (this time the winner of a Q v Q match) in R2!

That's another good win vs Duckworth. Now let's be following it up this time, James !

Beman looks nowhere near challenger standard, I would back all of our top 20 or so players to beat him.

PS the score is 6-3 4-0*

First set James 6-3. Want Dino to win even more than normal as Berman seems a complete tool from the stream, needs a good slap around the chops.

Re: Dino. Solid if unspectacular thus far.

Glad someone else was thinking that too!

The manner in which he threw his racquet after that DF to make it 3-5 would have made a petulant eight year old blush.

Berman's gone awol here mentally. Seems to be aiming for the net on every shot - nothing crazy here from James and it should be another 8 points in the bag.......

Ward is completely dominating but it seems to be more down to Berman's ineptitude.

....And then Berman hits a Murray-esque down the line backhand
