Mandy & her partner retired in the doubles: 5-7 1-3 RET
Can't find any news as to the identity of the injured party or the nature/severity of any possible injury.

Nice solid win - I guess it wasn't Mandy that was injured then.
The Swiss seem to think Bencic is a better overall prospect than Kennel, but I like Kennel more.

Could be interesting for Amanda, bearing in mind last weeks 10K in Sharm was won by a 16 yo local WC (also in this weeks draw - in the other half to Amanda)who beat #1, 2 & other seeds, you gotta keep your wits about you!

Amanda was 5-1 up in the 2nd and then lost 5 games on the bounce
She had 40-0* to break and force the TB in game 12, b ut lost.
GSM Michel 3-6 5-7

Disappointing end to Brits around the world, to go with a pretty rubbish teenis week for us everywhere!
