I wouldn't say bad draws in all but could have been better!

Will be interesting to see how Heather gets on with Marina in a major tournament after their US Open was cut short by injury.

Surprised Laura wasn't drawn against Lisicki as she normally plays her in doubles matches.

and Laura and Timea lose in straight sets 2-6 4-6
it seems reasonably well beaten looking at the stats

Heather and Marina are first on court 11 at midnight UK time.

At least Laura won twice as many games as her last doubles in the US Open. It must be quite difficult for her as her rankings mean she can only ever play doubles at Grand Slams and UK based events (with a WC) so she ends up playing in scratch pairings with very little doubles practice.

Heather and Marina have shown themselves to be a very effective pairing so far, but I wonder how motivated Heather will be for this match having played two long singles matches, and with a match against Radwanska coming up.

If she gets into the mixed with Dom losing this match with the biggie coming tomorrow isn't a bad thing.

Heather is perhaps trying to outdo her first two singles comebacks.
With Marina, she's now a set & 3 breaks down to the little and large pairing of Groenefeld & Peschke 4-6 0-5
The glorious fightback surely begins now!

Draw is out now and I can't see them (but it is 3 am and  I can't guarantee accuracy of observation!)

No Brits at all in the mixed.
Freddie Nielsen is continuing to focus on his singles by playing with Lisicki though
