Hello ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce my self, I am an all round sports fan with particular interest in tennis and cricket, and all sports other than football really.

I got particularly "interested" in tennis a couple of years ago through Steven's rankings page and the forums.  I've greatly enjoyed following all our British Players the last couple of years.

Like some other newbies, no-one I know really follows tennis so the opportunity to go to an event or two might be very appealing (I would like to try to get to the Nottingham Challengers this year) as I live nearly in Derby.

My big highlights last year were obviously the big wins for Andy Murray, but I particularly got interested in the doubles and really enjoyed Jonny Marray's win - and the relative success of our doubles pairs both before and after.

Personally, I am married with two young handfuls. I tend to work stoopid hours so opportunities to post might be few and far between, but I do tend to dip in here quite a lot.

It's always nice to get a bit more confirmation that what we do on here helps people develop a long-term interest in British tennis by providing the kind of info that is needed to keep people interested, so thank you for the comments too The great bunch of enthusiasts on here helps keep me interested too, not to mention keeping me motivated enough to do the stats!
