I do know that when they were over here a couple of weeks ago training in La Manga, Hutchins picked up an injury. Let's hope it is not too serious - or that I am wrong about that being the reason for him not playing.

Ah, that would explain it but I thought it was Colin Fleming who'd picked up the injury 'cos he tweeted that he was leaving LaManga after only 2 days!!! Do you have any other information on Ross and what happened e.g. type of injury he picked up?

Sorry. I don't have any more info. I was watching Jonny Marray train at the time when one of the coaches mentioned to me that Fleming and Hutchins were in La Manga but were going home early because one of them had picked up an injury. I think he said Hutchins, but I may be mistaken. Never under estimate my inate ability to add 2 plus 2 and get 5 smile

Ah OK. Well here are Colin's tweets by which I know for definite that he picked up an injury. Ross hasn't tweeted since 30th November.

26/12/12: Flying to Doha this evening for start of 2013 season. Not before I've been to Firhill this afternoon tho for the @ThistleTweet game! And on 27/12/12: Arrived in Doha. 23'C at 11:30am...lovely!

Colin/Jamie lost to Melo/Robredo 6'7(2), 4'6. At least Jamie defended his 45 points.

Not sure what happens next week. Jamie isn't on the Entry List for either Sydney or auckland.
Colin/Ross are showing as withdrawn from that event. So I wonder if they'll partner each other again next week.
