British Tour Masters

Harriet Dart has followed up her $10K final appearance two weeks ago with another final tomorrow in the British Tour Masters against 15 year old Freya Christie, who saw off Anna Fitzpatrick. This is worth more than a $10k, with £2,000k for the winner and £1,200 for the runner up (although the LTA prize money top-ups may put them at a similar level).

Interesting if only ( well pretty much only actually ) because I had never heard Harriet interviewed before. The interviewer certainly had more to say than Harriet, not helped by him kind of giving answers as to what she was going to be doing and indeed might be thinking whilst in theory asking about it.

Harriet beat all-comers in straight sets without much of a fuss. She is interviewed on the LTA website and there is an air of "expected to win" confidence about her. Bodes very well.

From the LTA website, regarding Andre L who plays for Lithuania but lives in the UK.

"17-year-old Andre Lukosiute won the 2018 Womens Bonus Pool by capturing four titles across the circuit"

I also notice that Andre has qualified in Tunisia this week (week 51) and has drawn a 16 year-old French 'starlet'.

Thanks CD. She ended up losing to Bornay in 3 topsy turvey sets, but a decent start to her senior career.
