FQR: Michael Suleau UNR beat Stijn Kits (NED) UNR by 0 & 1

L32: Josh Ward-Hibbert WR 1235 v (7) Márton Fucsovics (HUN) WR 445

Tough draw for JWH but a real chance for Michael to pick up his first ranking point. The winners of these two matches meet in R2

Well done Michael! Or Mikey. Very tough for him next round, even if the Hungarian has never quite pushed on from his juniors promise. Talking of which, the potential star of the draw is Dominic Thiem, an excellent Austrian prospect. He ended 4th in last years junior rankings, behind Vesely, Saville and Golding. But he did finish 2011 by winning 3 of the last 4 big junior events - Canada, Eddie Herr and the Orange Bowl. He won last week in Morocco, and if he does so again, he'll end the year at about 340 in the rankings, similar to Saville and a little behind Vesely at 260. One to watch.
