Who knows? But great for Fleming and Hutchins. A pleasant financial boost, to say the least. And really good for them to experience it, even if they don't play, so that if they are there next year, they know what to expect.
Mirnyi & Nestor win the first match in Jonny's group 4-6 7-6(1) [12-10], Tecau unlucky to be on the losing side despite being the best player on court.
Stepanek is apparently struggling with injury, so if he and Paes lose their first two matches, I think they might withdraw and give Fletch a match as Stepanek has the Davis Cup final to play next week.
I see they had MP at 6 - 4 6 - 5 * 40 - 40 ( don't know if they've had any others, edit : I assume not since stats just show one BP in the second set ). Saved to take it into the TB
So now either the second set TB or the MTB please !

* 1 - 5 down to 8 - 7 * up to * 8 - 9 MP down and 9 - 10 * MP down to winning both points against serve so * 11 -10 MP up and 12 - 10
With that win Jonny moves past another 3 players in the doubles rankings ( that are not here ) to provisional WR 17 ( edit : ah, I see that I am on the same wavelength as seagull, basically he's now behind the other 7 pairs here and the "bloody Poles" )

Jonny & Freddie nevertheless make their World Tour Finals debut a winning one, having spurned a match point in the twelfth game of the second set (*) :
(8) Jonny Marray & Frederik Nielsen (DEN) defeated (5) Mahesh Bhupathi & Rohan Bopanna (IND/IND) by 6-4 6-7(1) [12-10]
(*) Apparently, Jonny caught the net with the return on that match point!
