Not A great draw for Heather. Anne fares better, but still tough - as you'd expect at this level.

R1: WATSON, Heather (GBR) 70 Vs. WICKMAYER, Yanina (BEL) WC [4] 30
R1: KEOTHAVONG, Anne (GBR) 79 Vs. ERAKOVIC, Marina (NZL) 53

Both matches have already been played in this US Hardcourt season:

Heather lost to Wickmayer at Stanford 7-5 1-6 4-6

Anne lost to Erakovic at Carlsbad 4-6 0-6

Heather played well enough against Wickmayer to suggest she has a chance of beating her this time.

Nice win for Emily against a player with a career high of 18, albeit 10 years ago.

good chance to Heather get a R1 win vs Yanina. Wickmayer doesn't has a big weapon! Go Heather ;)

Depends whether Wickmayer's back is hurting her, if not will be tough.
Anne's match is one of those which you expect to be competitive but ultimately end in defeat for the Hackney girl.

Emily should have played her match by now but a couple of hours ago she tweeted the sky was dark with thunder storms. It looks as if play has not yet started.

Yes, play was suspended for the whole day due to the dangerous weather.

Emily's Q2 is now first on court, at 20:00 UK time.

Heather's R1 singles is on last of the day - approxiamtely 02:30 Monday morning.

Good news! The victorious Stanford team of Heather & Marina are back playing dubs together! They're seeded 4.

Both other Brits are also in doubles; Anne with Pauline Parmentier, Emily with Stephanie Bengson

Emily's, & Anne's, Doubles are due up today at the same time (~02:30 Monday) as Heather's singles. It'll be a Brit fest on all courts!

WD R1: WATSON, Heather (GBR)/ERAKOVIC, Marina (NZL) [4] Vs. LUMPKIN, Elizabeth (USA)/SCHNACK Yasmin (USA)
WD R1: KEOTHAVONG, Anne (GBR)/PARMENTIER, Pauline (FRA) Vs. DABROWSKI, Gabriela (CAN)/HSIEH, Su-Wei (TPE)
WD R1: WEBLEY-SMITH, Emily (GBR)/BENGSON, Stephanie (AUS) Vs. ELIE Jennifer (USA)/MUHAMMED, Asia (USA)

I see gone have the late starts due to the bad weather, players will now have to contend with oncourt temps hitting the 100F mark.

In less than an hour.
Still, 6 points increases her overall aggregate total.

Bouchard (already ranked 196!) looks like defeating 86th ranked Czink in straights - that girl is going places, fast!

Edit. Yes, Eugenie won 4 & 2.

Terrible storms here in Dallas all weekend it seems. Bright sunshine now but more forecast from mid afternoon again. And when it storms here it comes down. My little town east of Dallas received 8 inches of rain in 2 hours yesterday afternoon.

Heather is on court now. Wickmayer serving first.

Very jerky live stream: http://www.stopstream.tv/43/90/439044.html
Bet 365 probably have a better stream for account holders - but I'm not one!

Routine service holds to open.
1-1*

Wickmayer looks very strong tonight, especially serving. Heather is in the match, but 3 FH errors in a row concede a break.

1-3*

Out of nothing really, a break back came. Wickmayer with 3 UE's in the game & a DF. Heather doing a lot of running.

*2-3

A surprise net approach from Wickmayer forces a failed lob from Heather, then a clean winner from Wickmayer, and it's another break.

Heather often 8-10 feet or so behind the baseline as Yanina pummels forehand after forehand at her.

2-4*

1 beautiful BH laser beam winner down the line from Heather in a comfortable hold. Makes Yanina serve for it.

3-5*

Yanina tried to come to the net again, but Heather with a classy BH cross-court winner. That good work is rather undone in the next point with a complete UE forehand into the net. Heather saves one set point, but Yanina takes a second, forcing an error with repeatedly good length.

3-6

Both players having their coaching break at the end of the set.

NB: Anne & Emily's WD are both starting on the two other courts now
