In the new season, I'm going to update it with details of Andy's matches and also his tournament schedule - some info for Jan 2006 will be posted soon. If you have any information you would like posted on the calendar eg: on another British player, something on Andy, details of a trip to a tournament or anything else let me know.

[2] Recent posts button: Click on this and you will get all of the most recent posts in all of our sections.

[3] Links button: I've posted quite a few links here. If you would like any added, let me know.

In case anyone is confused, I've changed my user name from Website editor to David.

Going from "Guru" to "Club Player" sounds like demotion!

(Just joking, I don't give a hoot what I am called)

I wasn't sure about having Guru followed by Club Player - it does seem a bit odd. I'll have a think and then maybe put Guru somewhere else, any ideas ?

It`s going to take me a lifetime to get to 400 (even worse if it was still 500). How did everyone else manage it so quickly?

Posting the scores from the Aberdeen Cup!  I expect I will be fairly slow moving from now on.

David, I dunno. The two types of names don't seem to match up very well.  Can you not find a few more tennis categories to replace the original, and now lower, titles?

I moved up really fast when doing the commentary - well it's my brother texting me comments and scores and me posting them - or as in Bangkok he was able to connect to the internet and used our joint username. I also find and post all the Andy Murray articles each morning. Also, I've been a member here since June so my post count has built up. 247 posts in just over 2 months is a really good rate. This time next year, you'll be on 1400 odd posts at the present rate which would make you satellite level.

I'll try and think of some more tennis related names for the lower titles.

That made me smile to myself It`s the only way I`ll ever get to satellite level I`ve always wanted to be able to play tennis but it`s not one of my talents , so I`m an avid spectator instead. I`m trying to persuade my friends to come to an event with me at some point but they`re not really fans

Go on your own, Sally. I do! (Except for Wimbledon, both my daughter and I apply for tickets, if either of us get them we both go)

I've wanted to go to another futures/satellite event for a while but unfortunately there weren't any in the London area in the summer. It's really irritating because for every year since 2002 I haven't been able to go to either Surbiton or Queens which are both easy journeys to via train for me, but I always have tons of exams around that time.
Hopefully in June 2007, I'll be doing my Year in Industry so I'll be able to go to those tournaments.

I've got my A2 exams next summer so I might miss week 1 of Wimbledon which I'm really mad about but maybe if they don't some of us could arrange to meet up if we're going on the same day

That`s not a bad idea - no - one to annoy me or distract. They`d only be sitting there saying stupid things anyway like "Who`s he?" or worse probably seeing as most of my friends seem to get very bored if they can`t find anyone they fancy. So I will probably end up going on my own if I do go.

I`ve actually never been to a tournament before at all but reading the match reports here has made me really want to go to one if there are any near me. I`ll have to find out

What do you think about maybe meeting up at Wimbledon next year if some of us are going on the same day ?

You must go and see some live tennis when you can Sally, it's much better than on the TV because you get the atmosphere and in futures and challengers you get to meet some of the players. I'll look up the tournament calendar. Where abouts are you in Derbyshire

I went with my friend in June and saw Federer, Davenport, Safin and Baltacha which was cool. I'd been to a futures event before but I thought that with the massive Centre Court stadium, you'd feel a bit far away, but I was amazed at how close you felt to the players.

I'm going to try and get him to join here, he's really keen on following all the Brits. I would have told him before but he's been at Lancaster Uni since early September in his 2nd year and I haven't got his email. He should be home soon, so I'll tell him about this site.

Are you close to Sheffield ? Week 1 of the GB indoor satellite is being held there from 30th Jan until 6th Feb.

From 6th - 12th March GB F3 is in Sunderland, 13th-19th March - GB F4 in Manchester,
That's all they have so far

It`d be great to meet up with people but I doubt I`ll be going . It`s a bit too far away from me and I`ve got a lot of coursework to be in round about then. Some of the other posters might well go though.
