Also worth noting that the William's sisters lie in wait in R2 for Hev and Laura.

Hadn't looked that far ahead, Phil.  It goes from bad to worse...  hmm

Week 31: Olympic tennis - Wimbledon (grass ;) ) - doubles

Murrays are warming up now.

On Laura's & Heather's court, the 13:30 match is still in progress, so if Andy & Jamie can wrap this up quickly, they might be moved to Court 2 which is streamed.

Another break: 2*-1

Meanwhile, watching handball for the first time ever - so far, I'm not sure why the bother having goalies - they don't seem to save much.

Not so good: Broken back to love: 2-2*

Break restored: 3*-2. In the handball, after about 40 shots, one is finally saved. Unfortunately, not by our keeper.

And held: 4-2*

Interesting refereeing this afternoon: Women's handball - knock an opponent down and its a yellow card. Women's football - kick an opponent in the face and it's not even a foul. But what's this - our goalie saves a shot! Wabson trading advantages at the moment.

After 6 or 7 more deuces, the germans hold. 4*-3

Looked away for a bit and 4*-3 became 4*-5 cry

And then 4-6 furious

Better start to set 3: 1*-0

Drat: 1-1*. Quote from BBC live text: "The women's fencing individual foil final has gone to a sudden-death style battle - not literally"

Drat: 1*-2. Let's hope I don't need to complete the Dick Dastardly quote.

As things stand no livestreaming of Hev's and Laura's match, BBC coverage now showing centre, number 1, number 2, number 14 and 18 courts.

Dastardly avoided (that sounds better than the alternative wording): 2-2*

Two breakpoints missed: 2*-3

Hope this isn't to be a repeat of Centre Court a few hours ago: 2-4*

2*-5

Not over yet: 3-5*. I like the way handballers are sin-binned for shirt pulling. If only that happened in football.

One match point saved: 40-40

But not the second one disbelief

Hmm, maybe that's why it's taking so long to start ! But a bit of a drag for the girls to have to hang around so much.

The late start is not ideal in terms of both playing singles early afternoon tomorrow as well
